Build and supply
Site a power plant first; everything after it draws from the grid. Supply trucks shuttle between fields and depots on their own, so the real decision is which fields you can hold. Every spawn has room for a full late-game base.
Real-time strategy Alpha
A grounded near-future war. Build power, hold the supply, take the ground that matters and break the other side's command.
The game
Iron Meridian is classic base-building real-time strategy, set in an original, grounded near future. Engineers raise the base, trucks haul the supply that pays for it, and every army you field has something that beats it.
Site a power plant first; everything after it draws from the grid. Supply trucks shuttle between fields and depots on their own, so the real decision is which fields you can hold. Every spawn has room for a full late-game base.
Rifles screen, machine guns pin infantry, missile teams outrange the tanks they hunt, and artillery reaches past everything. Two commander powers, a barrage and an airstrike, break a stalled push when you can afford them.
Neutral fuel depots, pump stations, comms masts and other landmarks reward control of the ground. An engineer can capture them; enemies can take them back or destroy them.
Factions
Each faction has its own roster, a signature structure and rules that change how its economy and its army work. None of them is a reskin, and none of them depends on a teammate.
The standing line army. Every tool, no gimmick.
A security contractor that bills by the hour.
Irregulars who build an army out of everyone else's wrecks.
Steel, concrete and patience.
Four playable factions with distinct architecture, vehicle silhouettes and detailed surface materials. Further factions remain in development. Combat depends on play, never on purchases.
Battlefields
Verdant watersheds, alpine frontier and ember canyons. Nine fictional places, from orchard towns to snowy rail interchanges and saltworks. Streets, civilian buildings and freight lines give the ground a purpose. Mirrored supply and checked routes keep matches fair for two to eight commanders.

Objectives
Six kinds of neutral objective across the map catalogue. An engineer standing beside one takes it; two sides at once freeze the claim, and taking one off a holder takes twice as long.
Features
A deterministic simulation that runs the same on your machine and on the server, a command interface designed around what you need to read in the middle of a fight, and a server built into the game.
The battlefield stays in view. Resources and power along the top, the minimap and your selection along the bottom, and alerts you can jump to with one key.
Open a room, pick a battlefield and the mode, and fill every seat with friends or AI commanders. Choose factions, teams and colours, talk in the room chat, and start when everyone is ready.
Any battlefield against one to seven AI commanders on easy, normal or hard. Each commander plays its own faction's doctrine.
Rooms and lobbies on a dedicated server from the downloaded game. Host your own: the server is in the download.
Six authored Border Campaign missions with briefings, objectives and debriefs. Secure ground, hold crossings, raid supplies and break blockades; victories unlock the next operation.
Keep match results and verified replay archives locally. Open the read-only viewer to pause, change speed, seek along the timeline and follow a selected unit.
Low to Ultra graphics, interface scaling and text in all 12 languages. Hardware minimums are still being measured.
Implemented seasonal war between two blocs. Credited hosted battles move sector ownership; an enabled server is required.
Six additional factions are planned. Their playable rosters and release art are still in development.
Six authored missions and a read-only replay viewer are implemented in the development build.
The ongoing front
Credited hosted battles shape a seasonal front. Follow the current season, sector ownership, bloc standings and recent battles on the public status page. War data is shown only when the server provides a valid current snapshot.
War server offline
Live war data is unavailable. The status page remains usable while the server is offline.

News

Fixes the freeze when units or buildings first appear. Geometry packs speed up loading, and models and materials are prepared before play. This update adds runway takeoff and landing, production across multiple factories, uncapped armies, clearer damage and health feedback for points of interest, and faster replay browsing with readable names.

Research army upgrades, command precision airstrikes, and join Persistent War with improved connection recovery. This update brings a clearer battlefield interface, map loading art, complete game translations, and about 20% smaller download.
Iron Meridian 0.2.4 — stronger armies, sharper command
Longer production and paid construction queues, visible rally flags, placement snapping and alignment guides, and shared army routes with queued orders. Defensive guns turn to engage around them; armour counters and single-player surrender are corrected. Battles gain layered impacts, smoke, debris, restored combat sounds and spoken alerts. The living menu runs an AI battle and returns without rebuilding its backdrop.

Nine maps now form three themed regions with streets, homes, workshops, freight infrastructure and larger base plots. Factions have distinct authored buildings and vehicles. Models gain fitted equipment, armour seams, panels and surface textures, with authored detail levels for distance. Localized interface readability and the offline war screen also improve. Alpha polish and player acceptance remain ongoing.
